“What do you picture when you hear the word “church” or “Christian”? Is it an uptight guy in suit and tie? A guy on the corner with a picket sign yelling condemnation and judgment? Boring people who don’t know how to party in life? Gay bashers? Jesus had people around Him all the time who misunderstood Him because of all kinds of religious experiences and religious people they had met. The same is true today. Jesus wants to speak for Himself and we see Him do that in John 6 where He discusses food, bread, cannibalism, and eternal life.”
